Landmark east has come on a long way since 2003.

The East of England Development Agency’s (EEDA) landmark east international ideas competition set out to generate ideas for a major landmark - something to put the East of England on the map, both nationally and internationally.

The competition attracted 234 entries from all over the world (view them here). Twelve were short listed and ultimately four projects chosen to receive funding from EEDA for feasibility studies.

For an overview of the landmark east project please click here. For all the latest news please click here.

All four winning projects have now completed their feasibility studies and the teams are working on the essential first steps on their journey towards physical reality.

EEDA’s role is as a facilitator, assisting with introductions to stakeholders and awareness raising. The projects belong to the teams who proposed them and they will lead the fundraising campaigns required to deliver each project.

Find out more about the projects on this site and tell us your views.
