Following a series of workshops school children across the East of England pitched in with their ideas of what would make their ideal landmark.
The workshops - provided by EEDA with funding from Arts Council England, East – got the 10 and 11-year-olds thinking about their region and local environment. Common ideas, themes and views from the workshops were passed on to the judges.
"It has given the pupils an opportunity to visualise their role in the future development of the environment"
“The workshop stretched the children's imagination and provided them with a context for their ideas. They have definitely learned a lot about modeling their ideas and presentation skills already"
"The workshop will fit perfectly into to our technology programme."
"It was fun using our imaginations"
"The landmarks looked interesting"
